Price FAIL: New Desert Tan TiPX = $229 for the trouble. What?

Desert Tan TiPX: Win. $229 price tag: EPIC FAIL!
How are you going to raise the price on a three year old plastic paintball gun?
We love the TiPX. It’s a great marker and you can do a lot with. We don’t love the price though. We talk to people all the time that would have bought one a long time ago if it had just been a little cheaper. And now the new tan model costs more!
Tippmann was noticeably absent from the mag-fed party last week. They actually had this new model in hand but did not include it in the PBE announcements. Big misteak Tipp’!
Had you announced this model the same time everyone else was showing off mag-fed products, you could have road the buzz-wave and people might have over looked the price. But now, all by itself, you are really letting this stinker shine.
See for your self on the Tippmann store.
Please explain to us, Tippmann, how changing the color on a three year old PLASTIC PISTOL justifies a price hike?
We started a mini “Drop the Price” petition on FaceBook. It’s just a post asking for likes. If it gains traction, we will upgrade it to something bigger. Check it out.
Tip’ Timeline: The First MagFed Paintball Gun…1986

Tippmann has been updating their Facebook Timeline to include milestones since their founding. Not everything Tippmann does is of interest to us, but this is! All this talk about “mechanical full-auto” and “air through stock” has been done before.
The 1986 Tippmann SMG-60 is not just the very first “mag-fed” paintball marker. It’s also the very first Tippmann. That’s right. Tippmann started mag-fed paintball and that is all they had.
It’s kind of ironic considering they are mostly silent these days on the mag-fed scene. Yes they have the popular TiPX, but the company does not give it much weight compared to the rest of it’s hopper-fed product line.
Come on Tippmann! bring back the Original Gangster!!!

Nothing to See here. Move along folks: Tippmann introduces three (non-mag-fed) products :(
We are only posting this to say that we are not really excited about this.
We are still holding our breath for another Tippmann reveal… Where is the Mag-Fed love, Tipp?
