Rap4 working on a 100 round FirstStrike drum mag.

There are lots of great pictures flowing out of PBE today. This one definitely caught our attention. It looks like Rap4 has been trying to get FirstStrike (or shape projectiles as they call them) in to just about as many enclosures as they can.
100 FS rounds is no easy feat to pull off. But if they do, then it’s operator would become quite a contendor… assuming they can afford to load the mag. FS are not cheap.
We don’t know yet how this is meant to work. It would be nice if it was not electric. The motor in Rap4’s Box mag is not the most “stealthy” to run around with. It would be great if this does not have that telling motor-hum and could be all mechanical. For now we will have to wait and see what comes.
UPDATE!
Word on the street is it is just a prototype. Rap4 is no where close to ready to give details or pricing. #NotSurprised.
Here is a clearer picture. Definitely looks more like a prototype when in focus.

Omar over at Rap4 shows off the highly anticipated D-Mag in action.
This video comes out right on the heals of the new Milsig marker announcements. There is no way to tell if this is coming out as a response to all the attention Milsig has been attracting over the past few days, but it sure is timely.
Until now, no one really knew how Rap4 was going to pull off a “hi-cap FirstStrike” mag. It turns out to be 10+10 double-stack straight-feed mag. So far the early impressions have been a mixed bag. There is already a lot of noise going ‘round about this reveal, both for and against.
Some people sound willing to accept the alternate method while others would prefer to stick with the a traditional U-turn-style mag and don’t like that Rap4 was not more upfront in the beginning about this design, since they have been plugging it for so long. We will continue to watch it unfold and keep you posted.
Prominent Voices:
So far Connor over at GreyOps.com has given the D-Mag a thumbs-down, calling it a “disappointment”

Meanwhile, Aaron (AKA InBlack) over at ModernIntel.ca seams cool with the new D-Mag preview. Or at least not cool with others hating on it so much.

It looks like we picked a crazy week to get started!
Just as we were kicking the tires on our new site, Nelson Lau (DIRECTOR of Milsig) Dropped some pretty solid bombs on the Facebook Milsig Operators Group.
This is pretty interesting stuff. Especially since we are not used to getting so many updated and new products from Milsig at one time. We are going to dig in and do a full rumor round up for you.
Full details are expected later this week from Paintball Extravaganza International.
