Still Alive….
I know I’ve been a ghost over the past few months. MagWars is not dead. Just restructuring. I learned (well I already knew but defied wisdom) that it is better to work within a talented team, than try to carry all the weight your own. I had high hopes and big plans for MagWars when I started it. But the truth is, I bit off more than I could chew. Especially since I’ve been diligently working with other brands to bring some amazing products to market. Over the course of the next twelve months, you will see what I have been working on and it will have been worth the wait.
In the mean time I encourage you to get your magfed news from MagFedPB.com. I’ve been working with this team behind the scenes (so far in a small capacity) to offer any support I can. I will also be writing for them in the near future.
For magfed games and events, I direct you to MagWell. Lee and his team have done an outstanding job spreading the love on the ground and online. If you would like to host a MagWell event in your neck of the woods, let them know and they will do everything they can to get you started. The best part is MagFedPB will cross promote it, along with any magfed game they can get info on.
MagFed is a family. We have to support each other and lift each other up. We also have to hone in on our strengths and trim the fat. That is what I’m doing with MagWars. I’m no good at staying on top of current events (at least on my own). I’m a creative. I like to make things. Fun things. Useful things. So that is all MagWars will do. Promotional items like the magfed signs and targets. Maybe even posters and bumper stickers. If I make a design that you want on a shirt or a patch, well then I’ll kick that over to Deadbox and see if they want to make it. I have no interest in competing with them in that space since they already do a good job.
I tell all my friends and business associates, the “win” for your craft is all about the experience. Provide the best possible experience for your fans and customers. If this is at the core of your efforts, you will not only have great success, but also great loyalty, to and from your followers.
So in this awesome and growing game genre called magfed (that we all love) I encourage you to zero in on what you are good at, and then throw your support behind those with other talents. Together, as a team, as a family, we will blow this thang up!
GO MAGFED!

New website for Tiberius Arms.
Looks like Tiberius got around to updating their site design. It’s looking good. Nice work Tib’.
The new site has more information than its predecessor and is definitely better organized. It’s now much easier to find specs and details about their products while they rock a wider, sleeker, modern aesthetic.
It comes just in time for their big push campaign to get 5000 like on their Facebook page. Let’s help them get there. You could win a laser etched T8.1 if you do.

MagWellPB.com goes live!
These are our mag-fed brothers who have many of the same goals we do. They do a lot of great work and have been spreading mag-fed love longer than we have. Go check out their new site. They have a bunch of great content up and more coming.

New Milsig.com is NOW LIVE!
Milsig launches their new site! Hurray!
Detail Round Up: Milsig’s 2012. Part 2 - M17
The biggest earth-shaker out of Milsig last week, was the announcement of the upcoming M17 marker. A total show-stealer, the M17 can select fire from semi-auto mode to a true mechanical full-auto fire mode. No e-grips. No batteries. No joke. It’s legit!
(This is part two of a multi part story. Click here for part one.)
Detail Round Up: Milsig’s 2012. Part 1 - HEAT

Milsig has hit it out of the park with a whole slew of new product announcements. We’ve combed through all the information to get the details organized for you in one place. The announcements are impressive in piecemeal but even more so all stacked up together. We have not seen this level of innovation from them since the original K-series was launched back in 2007, and they have just blown it away (literally!)
The hottest announcements include the Paradigm MK2, FXR Pistol Kits and the biggest surprise, the M17 including the new HEAT Core.
We’ve tried to be as detailed as possible but not all specs and prices have been released yet.
The FINAL pricing and product details for the new products will be released via the NEW milsig.com website…which is another week or 2 from completion.
- Nelson Lau, DIRECTOR, Milsig
So until then, this is the next best thing. READ ON!
Milsig now selling discounted, pre-owned makers.

Now this is some great news! If you’ve been wanting to get in to mag-fed paintball but a starving piggy-bank is holding you back, now is your chance to pick up a Milsig on the cheap!
Milsig is now selling pre-owned markers on their main Canada store site. Many for 50% off the original price.
Milsig makes some top quality gear. That quality does not come cheap though. This effort will definitely help get their products in to the hands of folks that were not able to before. Or maybe you just want to pick up a second gun for parts and to tinker with. The best part is the upgrade options. A small investment now in a basic model, could turn in to a real mag-fed beast over time.
You have to move fast though, Right now this hot-cake-sale is set to expier on March 30th. We would like to see this become a regular feature of their store, but for now, take advantage of this great opportunity while you can.

Milsig officially supports FirstStrike rounds. UPDATED.

Moments ago this blurry picture depicting a new FirstStrike magazine from Milsig, found it’s way on the the inter-webs (via MagWell). This might be the same mysterious mag that was teased a few days ago from Milsig with no extra details.

It will be interesting to see how this baby looks on the inside and what the reason for the chopped corner is.
Questions we have:
- Is there a turning channel or is is straight feed?
- Capacity?
- and of course, Price? (especially compared to the standard Milsig Mag)
It’s quite exciting to see Milsig officially jump on to the FirstStike boat.
Looks like that just leaves Tippmann late to the FirstStrike party. Granted, TiPX owners have been modding and/or buying FS kits for their pistols for sometime. It would just be nice to see Tippmann catch up to the trend.
Now if only we can get the FS price point down.
UPDATE! (via MagWell)
The Chopped corner mag is NOT the same as the new Milsig FS mag just released. See picture below. The “corner-mag” is still a mystery.
First strike MILSIG mag on top of the new style mag. The tops are able to be retrofit to the “old style” mags so your old ones can be used in the M17.
( from MagWell )
LOL UPDATE!
As the comments point out, we got it wrong. It’s not a mag in the picture on the left.
From the Nelson Lau (DIRECTOR of Milsig) via Milsig Owners Group on Facebook
Nelson Lau: Guys, that’s not a mag…that’s my wall display…a slotwall mount that is shaped like a mag. Your powers of observations needs mucho improvement.
Nothing to See here. Move along folks: Tippmann introduces three (non-mag-fed) products :(
We are only posting this to say that we are not really excited about this.
We are still holding our breath for another Tippmann reveal… Where is the Mag-Fed love, Tipp?

Spyder to release their mag-fed entry, the “MRX™ Elite” this week!

Another new mag-fed product that has been getting a lot of hype for a while, is Spyder’s MRX. Today on their official blog, Spyder announced the “world release” will be this week at the 2012 Paintball Extravaganza.
It’s definitely a little different than what we’ve had to date in the mag-fed ‘verse. Then again, everything seams to be changing right now. We are just happy to see more mag-fed products getting made. Especially from big paintball dogs like Spyder.

It looks like we picked a crazy week to get started!
Just as we were kicking the tires on our new site, Nelson Lau (DIRECTOR of Milsig) Dropped some pretty solid bombs on the Facebook Milsig Operators Group.
This is pretty interesting stuff. Especially since we are not used to getting so many updated and new products from Milsig at one time. We are going to dig in and do a full rumor round up for you.
Full details are expected later this week from Paintball Extravaganza International.
