Still Alive….
I know I’ve been a ghost over the past few months. MagWars is not dead. Just restructuring. I learned (well I already knew but defied wisdom) that it is better to work within a talented team, than try to carry all the weight your own. I had high hopes and big plans for MagWars when I started it. But the truth is, I bit off more than I could chew. Especially since I’ve been diligently working with other brands to bring some amazing products to market. Over the course of the next twelve months, you will see what I have been working on and it will have been worth the wait.
In the mean time I encourage you to get your magfed news from MagFedPB.com. I’ve been working with this team behind the scenes (so far in a small capacity) to offer any support I can. I will also be writing for them in the near future.
For magfed games and events, I direct you to MagWell. Lee and his team have done an outstanding job spreading the love on the ground and online. If you would like to host a MagWell event in your neck of the woods, let them know and they will do everything they can to get you started. The best part is MagFedPB will cross promote it, along with any magfed game they can get info on.
MagFed is a family. We have to support each other and lift each other up. We also have to hone in on our strengths and trim the fat. That is what I’m doing with MagWars. I’m no good at staying on top of current events (at least on my own). I’m a creative. I like to make things. Fun things. Useful things. So that is all MagWars will do. Promotional items like the magfed signs and targets. Maybe even posters and bumper stickers. If I make a design that you want on a shirt or a patch, well then I’ll kick that over to Deadbox and see if they want to make it. I have no interest in competing with them in that space since they already do a good job.
I tell all my friends and business associates, the “win” for your craft is all about the experience. Provide the best possible experience for your fans and customers. If this is at the core of your efforts, you will not only have great success, but also great loyalty, to and from your followers.
So in this awesome and growing game genre called magfed (that we all love) I encourage you to zero in on what you are good at, and then throw your support behind those with other talents. Together, as a team, as a family, we will blow this thang up!
GO MAGFED!

Milsig officially supports FirstStrike rounds. UPDATED.

Moments ago this blurry picture depicting a new FirstStrike magazine from Milsig, found it’s way on the the inter-webs (via MagWell). This might be the same mysterious mag that was teased a few days ago from Milsig with no extra details.

It will be interesting to see how this baby looks on the inside and what the reason for the chopped corner is.
Questions we have:
- Is there a turning channel or is is straight feed?
- Capacity?
- and of course, Price? (especially compared to the standard Milsig Mag)
It’s quite exciting to see Milsig officially jump on to the FirstStike boat.
Looks like that just leaves Tippmann late to the FirstStrike party. Granted, TiPX owners have been modding and/or buying FS kits for their pistols for sometime. It would just be nice to see Tippmann catch up to the trend.
Now if only we can get the FS price point down.
UPDATE! (via MagWell)
The Chopped corner mag is NOT the same as the new Milsig FS mag just released. See picture below. The “corner-mag” is still a mystery.
First strike MILSIG mag on top of the new style mag. The tops are able to be retrofit to the “old style” mags so your old ones can be used in the M17.
( from MagWell )
LOL UPDATE!
As the comments point out, we got it wrong. It’s not a mag in the picture on the left.
From the Nelson Lau (DIRECTOR of Milsig) via Milsig Owners Group on Facebook
Nelson Lau: Guys, that’s not a mag…that’s my wall display…a slotwall mount that is shaped like a mag. Your powers of observations needs mucho improvement.
Hot off the floor! More pictures of Milsig goodness.
